Aperture tables combine a graphic interplay of geometric lines and transparent surface that make for a visually light and pleasing selection of modern occasional tables. Inspired by the interlocking blades of a camera aperture. The frame is fabricated from stiff steel tubular section with pigments of either navy blue or oxblood red.
Materials:
Stiff steel tubular section frame, tough water base metal finish in either navy blue or oxblood red*. 12mm toughened glass top.

I decided to design a shelving and console table reminiscent of an Arabic style, a tribute to the passion and creativity of Middle Eastern culture, while using materials and processes which are Western in technique, production and finish. It is also inspired by the classic Candelabra which has been a beacon of light and a detail of sophistication in many a European household.
