Here’s a short slide show of some of my recent shiny designs. There’s a juicy luster that really shines out when combined with fluid curves that’s hard to achieve with flat planes and surfaces only.
Casting in recycled ♻️ Aluminium and changing the state from liquid to solid, allows these curves to be frozen in space, as if “mid pour”. The hard Aluminium gives a very smooth and durable substrate for our layered and polished lacquered finishes.
It is in capturing this fluid spontaneity that inspired the names and process of Sketch and Splash.
