In these troubling times, I hope everyone is staying safe and doing the best they can. As work is currently quite turbulent for all, it is fantastic to receive an order that will allow REEVESdesign to keep ticking along, unfortunately this year we have not been able to showcase our new collections due to the necessity to postpone trade shows. However, since launching in March 2019, the Talon Slot range has finally found a home with our friends at Norhor.
Now I'm very pleased to be able to share some of the excellent photography and presentation that they have produced to help their launch; the stark but well lit surroundings emphasise the simple slotted construction and beauty of walnut timber and leather.
Talon Slot Dining Table and Chair in walnut. Curves help create flow and dynamic throughout the form, the consistency of this flow brings the range together as part of the extended signature organic Talon aesthetic.

The low profile, yet strong Talon Slot Dining Table in Walnut.
The sinuous curves are an integral part of the form of the Talon Slot collection. The table top has a combination of flowing radii and concave lines that allow for a gentle aesthetic without compromising on functionality.
All the lines are cut by CNC to ensure a consistent and precise computer edge.
The end of the table is simple and inviting.
The slot like joint detail in solid wood, along with the concealed 'U' channel black metal stretchers on the underside of the top ensure this table is sturdy and is in part what gives the collection its name.

The Talon Slot Cabinet works equally well as a sideboard or hallway cabinet cum console.

Another interesting mood shot, complete with candlesticks and a doll that has an enviable sartorial style.
Internal details reveal adjustable shelves, custom hinges and drawers.
The natural direction and "flamed" grain of the timber enhance the sweeping organic curves of the form. I enjoy creating these interesting shapes from the seemingly simple and contradictory flat cut CNC process.
